IT Support Specialist at Pony.ai in Fremont, California

We're looking for a full-time IT Support Specialist with solid problem-solving skills and effectiveness in managing competing priorities. You will support staff in troubleshooting desktop, software, and hardware-related issues in a timely, friendly, and collaborative manner.

Responsibilities

1. Install & configure computer hardware, software, systems, printers, and other IT equipment.
2. Provide technical support across the company. Analyze, diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve all IT issues requested by employees, including but not limited to repair or replace parts, debugging laptop issues, software updates, etc.
3. Perform onboarding and offboarding of employees.
4. Maintain records/logs of repairs, fixes, and maintenance schedules.
5. Maintain audio/video and conferencing equipment.
6. Assist with basic troubleshooting and support on office network and server environments.
7. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

1. Minimum 3+ years of related experience and Bachelor’s Degree.
2. Knowledge and experience supporting, troubleshooting, and configuring, mostly in a Linux environment; experience with Ubuntu is a plus.
3. Basic understanding of networking principles, like routing basics, VPN, DNS, firewall, etc.
4. Familiarity with Linux common commands and basic shell programming.

Compensation and Benefits

Base Salary Range: $69,000 - $100,000 Annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on many factors, including the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Compensation and this role may be eligible for bonuses/incentives and restricted stock units.
