Who are we looking for?
The Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the network infrastructure of a global organization. This role requires a deep understanding of routing and switching technologies to ensure the efficient and secure transfer of data across the network.
Technical Skills:
- Design and implement functional resilient network infrastructure (routing and switching) including documentation and operational handover with escalations.
- Troubleshoot network issues and outages, schedule upgrades, and collaborate with network architects on network optimization.
- Secure network systems by establishing and enforcing policies, and by defining and monitoring access.
- Update network equipment to the latest firmware releases.
- Report network operational status by gathering and prioritizing information.
- Manage and lead routing and switching projects, including the installation of new hardware and software, and the creation of policies and procedures related to network hardware and software.
- Provide technical support and consultation for IT and end-user departments.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Documentation skills (Visio a plus).
- Automation experience.
Experience:
- Extensive experience as a Network Engineer focusing on routing and switching design, deployment planning, and implementation in a highly controlled and regulated environment.
- Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS).
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic, and network analytics tools.
- University degree in Computer Science or a related subject.
- Professional certification (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) is preferred.
- Experience with Cisco switches, routers, firewalls.

Qualification:
- Somebody who has at least 8+ years of work experience in Network Management.
- Cisco or other network OEM certification desired.
- Education qualification: B. Tech, BE, BCA, MCA, M. Tech or equivalent technical degree from a reputed college.
