Job Description:

Who are we looking for?

The Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the network infrastructure of a global organization. This role requires a deep understanding of routing and switching technologies to ensure the efficient and secure transfer of data across the network.

Technical Skills:

  1. Design and implement functional resilient network infrastructure (routing and switching) including documentation and operational handover with escalations.
  2. Troubleshoot network issues and outages, schedule upgrades, and collaborate with network architects on network optimization.
  3. Secure network systems by establishing and enforcing policies, and by defining and monitoring access.
  4. Update network equipment to the latest firmware releases.
  5. Report network operational status by gathering and prioritizing information.
  6. Manage and lead routing and switching projects, including the installation of new hardware and software, and the creation of policies and procedures related to network hardware and software.
  7. Provide technical support and consultation for IT and end-user departments.
  8. Advanced Excel skills.
  9. Documentation skills (Visio a plus).
  10. Automation experience.

Experience:

  1. Extensive experience as a Network Engineer focusing on routing and switching design, deployment planning, and implementation in a highly controlled and regulated environment.
  2. Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS).
  3. Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic, and network analytics tools.
  4. University degree in Computer Science or a related subject.
  5. Professional certification (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) is preferred.
  6. Experience with Cisco switches, routers, firewalls.

  7. Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask.

Qualification:

  1. Somebody who has at least 8+ years of work experience in Network Management.
  2. Cisco or other network OEM certification desired.
  3. Education qualification: B. Tech, BE, BCA, MCA, M. Tech or equivalent technical degree from a reputed college.
