Our client is an innovative crypto start-up focused on developing cutting-edge wallet solutions and custody infrastructure tailored for financial institutions. Their mission is to help institutions securely navigate the complexities of cryptocurrency and digital asset management, offering state-of-the-art products designed to enhance security, scalability, and compliance.
The Role:
Our client is looking for an experienced and results-driven VP Sales to help accelerate revenue growth, scale their sales processes, and build a robust pipeline of prospects and customers. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the crypto ecosystem, particularly the sale of crypto wallets, custody infrastructure, and related products to financial institutions.
- Develop and execute the overall sales strategy with a focus on scaling ARR and expanding the customer base within financial institutions and related sectors.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing sales team, setting clear targets and KPIs for each sales function.
- Define sales processes and best practices, ensuring efficient lead qualification, opportunity management, and conversion rates.
- Scale post-product market fit by creating scalable go-to-market strategies that drive consistent revenue growth.
- Establish and execute plans to penetrate new markets, segments, and geographic regions.
- Manage and optimize the sales pipeline, ensuring a steady flow of qualified leads and opportunities.
- Serve as a voice of the customer, providing insights into market needs, trends, and competitive landscape.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a senior sales leadership role.
- Extensive experience selling crypto wallets, custody infrastructure, digital asset products, and related solutions to financial institutions (banks, exchanges, asset managers, custodians, etc.).
- Demonstrated success in scaling ARR post-product market fit, with a track record of consistently exceeding revenue targets.
- Strong understanding of the crypto and blockchain ecosystem, especially in the context of financial institutions and enterprise-grade solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of digital asset custody, wallet infrastructure, and associated regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Strong leadership capabilities with experience building, mentoring, and motivating high-performance sales teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with C-level executives, institutional clients, and internal stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. An MBA or other advanced degree is a plus.
