Overview

The Director will lead overarching Digital Investment and Strategic Initiatives, build and foster key client relationships for our client. The Director will also lead a team in the tactical development and execution of digital investment best practices across all digital channels and collaborate with leaders across cross-functional teams to ensure the best possible results. The ideal candidate will be a thoughtful decision-maker who loves data and has the proven ability to lead strategic planning and buying initiatives including deck writing and presentation, budget and channel allocation, and audience development.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee a portfolio of digital media clients, with a focus on strategic vision, team management, process refinement, and financial administration.
  • Manage all projects to ensure the highest level of quality assurance, performance, and innovation.
  • Oversee/Develop DR and Brand strategies that drive client KPI’s including Cost-Per-Acquisition, Unaided Awareness, Intent, Linkage, etc.
  • Help clients orchestrate and leverage all available digital platforms including display, video, mobile, social and search to drive measurable results.
  • Steward client interest in the areas of tracking and delivering measurable results and analytics, market knowledge, and audience insights.
  • Promote when appropriate, the use of other agency services - research, technology, creative, etc. - in executing the media campaigns and cohesive programs.
  • Stay well versed of new technologies and trends to apply strategically to client’s business as well as proactively construct business-building ideas.
  • Work collaboratively in planning sessions regarding client strategy and approach, providing leadership, consultation and acting as a voice for digital media.
  • Establish and manage relationships with senior media clients as well as be a key agency contact and resource for clients across other disciplines/departments.
  • Partner with other brand agency leads to deliver unified cross-platform strategies and ideas.
  • Collaborate with agency cross-functional teams to deliver cohesive business solutions and strategies.
  • Manage workflow, efficient and profitable servicing of clients, staffing levels, fosters healthy team structure, team assignments.
  • Manage and oversee monthly and end of campaign client billing, digital media budget reconciliations.
  • Maintain knowledge of reporting, analytic, auditing, and financial platforms and tools along with their functionality.
  • Keep other agency departments informed about the digital media work produced for clients and best practices.
  • Liaise with high-level brand representatives including VPs and CMOs.
  • Enforce established agency policies and procedures; work continually.
  • Assist in new business efforts as needed.
  • Provide leadership/motivation and convey the vision and values of the agency to media staff.
  • Critiques, conducts and reviews, performance evaluation of media team to ensure that effective, efficient and profitable staff operations are maintained; working closely with Associate Media Directors and other assigned staff to provide mentorship and guidance to the team.
  • Serve as point of escalation for client issues and concerns.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, preferably with a concentration in marketing, advertising, communications, business, sociology, or consumer insights.
  • 7+ years of digital media buying experience across all platforms: display, search, mobile, programmatic, and paid social.
  • 4+ years of team management experience.
  • Proven experience leading a team.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proven knowledge of digital planning and buying process.
  • Strong quantitative skills, including analytical abilities and math proficiency.
  • Problem-solver, with the ability to move quickly between tasks, and think clearly under pressure.
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently and in a collaborative team setting.
  • Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with a heavy focus on Excel.
  • Experience utilizing various media tools and systems.

The benefits offerings listed are available to U.S. based employees, are reviewed on an annual basis, and are governed by the terms of the applicable plan documents.

Compensation Range: $119,510 - $171,675 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
