THE JOB

We are seeking an Associate Counsel with corporate legal experience to join the Legal Department for Live Nation Entertainment’s Concerts Division, a segment of the Live Nation Entertainment live music business. This role will be based in Beverly Hills, California.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

  • Review, draft, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements, including, without limitation, service provider agreements, promotion agreements, production agreements, license agreements, equipment rental agreements, booking agreements, co-promotion agreements, artist performance agreements, festival promotion agreements and consulting/independent contractor agreements.
  • Provide timely and accurate advice on legal matters to business teams, including advising on risks and liabilities associated with potential transactions, existing contracts, pre-litigation dispute resolution efforts, and policy documents.
  • Communicate and interact with internal business partners and third-party attorneys to negotiate and finalize contracts.
  • Assist with updating internal contract templates.
  • Manage contract process and provide regular status reports to internal team members.
  • Research various legal questions and provide clear recommendations to internal staff.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable international, federal, state and local laws and regulations.
  • Participate in special projects and perform various other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING

  • J.D. from accredited law school.
  • Minimum of two years of experience as an attorney, negotiating and drafting sophisticated legal transactions and agreements.
  • Licensed or ability to become licensed to practice law in the State of California and in good standing with the State Bar of California.
  • Experience directly related to the concert promotion, festival, or venue management business is a plus.
  • Excellent organization skills and ability to manage high volume under tight deadlines and with minimal supervision.
  • Desire to partner with business clients to provide practical solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Concise writing skills.
  • Experience in interacting and communicating with all levels of business operations.
  • Proficiency in document review, editing, and redlining.

The expected compensation for this position is:

$148,000.00 USD - $185,000.00 USD
