Job Title: Visual Designer

Location: San Francisco, CA (Remote)

Bill Rate: $55-60 per hour DOE

W2 contract duration: 12 months with a possible Extension

Job Summary:

A visual discovery engine for finding ideas is seeking a product designer with strong visual design skills to work on digital products. The role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop user-centric solutions while maintaining a high level of design execution and creativity. The designer will be responsible for elevating visual craft, collaborating with senior staff on strategic areas, and driving innovation in emerging industries.

Responsibilities:

1. Design products—systematically, interactively, visually—with pixel-level precision.
2. Collaborate closely with engineering, product management, and research to develop impactful, user-centric, and data-informed solutions.
3. Collaborate with and manage feedback from stakeholders across the company.
4. Work alongside engineers throughout the implementation and quality assurance phases.

Qualifications:

1. 3-5 years of experience (YOE).
2. Proven track record envisioning, building, and iterating on digital products in close partnership with product management and engineering.
3. Strong portfolio that demonstrates outstanding design skills, refined aesthetic sensibilities, high-quality craft, and product thinking informed by qualitative and quantitative insights.
4. Great communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions and problem-solving strategies.

Must-Haves:

1. Strong visual refinement and aesthetic sensibility.
2. Experience in product and UX design.
3. Product strategy experience.
4. Prototyping skills are a plus.
