Location Requirements:
Candidate must be local to the area or willing to relocate/commute to Atlanta, GA.
The Oracle Cloud Architect will be responsible for designing, deploying, and supporting Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and applications. This role will involve close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions are aligned with business goals, objectives, and technology standards. The architect will proactively design cloud-oriented solutions, ensuring that architectural governance is followed and supporting business needs across various cloud-based services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and design Oracle Cloud solutions, focusing on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and applications.
- Develop and maintain architecture blueprints, strategies, and roadmaps for cloud-based projects.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to assess, plan, and deliver solutions that meet business requirements.
- Lead implementation efforts for Oracle Cloud Fusion, including security, data migration, integration, and performance optimization.
- Provide leadership in identifying and resolving cloud infrastructure and service-related issues.
- Create detailed technical documentation and disaster recovery plans for incident management.
- Ensure solutions are in line with emerging technology trends and cloud best practices.
- Guide and mentor development teams on cloud architecture principles and provide expert advice on risks and opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of five years of experience in Oracle Cloud development, including architecture, network management, and security.
- Experience with implementing Oracle Cloud Fusion as a Cloud Architect.
- Expertise in cloud computing concepts, architectures, and deployment models.
- Proficiency in cloud service deployment, management, and optimization, particularly Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- Strong knowledge of cloud security practices, compliance standards, and governance.
- Hands-on experience with scripting and automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- Experience with cloud networking, storage, and database services.
- Understanding of the system development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies (Agile, DevOps, Waterfall, etc.).
- Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) and ITIL principles.
