Job Summary:
The Data Steward is responsible for the effective management and governance of SESLOC's data assets and driving data scale, quality and compliance. This includes creating Data Governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with data policies and regulations and supporting SESLOC's data analytics community. This position is responsible for the technology that underlies SESLOC's data assets and plays a key role in ensuring data quality, integrity, security, reliability and accessibility supported by a deep understanding of data management practices.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience with data governance frameworks (DAMA-DMBok, DCAM and COBIT) preferred
- Familiarity with data warehousing
- Experience with business intelligence (BI) tools or data visualization platforms (i.e. Spotfire, Tableau, Power BI)
- Experience with data quality, modeling and integrity tools
- Ability to analyze datasets and identify trends and anomalies
- Work with cross-functional teams to promote data literacy and best practices
- Solve for ETL challenges
- Proficiency in Python or R for data manipulation and analysis and SQL for query and managing databases
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Education/Experience:
- A bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science and three or more years of experience in data management, data analytics, data governance or related field.
