Position Title: Maintenance Technician-Maint. B
Pay Rate: $30.54/Hr. + Shift Differential
Sign on Bonus: $1,000 after 90 Days, $500 after 6 Months
$500 after 1 Year and an additional bonus at 2 Years
Category/Shift: Hourly Full-Time/1st Shift -The plant operates 24/5 -Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed; significant overtime may be needed during busy periods.
Physical Location: Plant City, Florida
The Job You Will Perform: • Perform maintenance functions making repairs in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic breakdowns under minimal guidance of the Maintenance Supervisor. • Plan and obtain cost estimates and execute projects under the guidance of the Maintenance Supervisor. • Troubleshoot and perform maintenance duties such as mechanical and electrical repairs. • Provide training in areas of expertise or knowledge. • Respond to work orders submitted by employees. • Assist the Supervisor in ordering parts. • Assist Supervisor in developing and implementing a preventative maintenance program. • Perform special assignments such as new equipment installations and perform preventative maintenance duties. • Participate and execute actions from the quality improvement program. • Support installation of new equipment and facilities improvements. • Work safely by observing safety rules, policies, and procedures and identifying unsafe conditions or actions to the supervisor. • Maintain compliance with company quality systems and support audits. • Basic design and fabrication of repairs and process improvements; and • Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
The Skills You Will Bring: • 2 years of related mechanical experience working in an industrial manufacturing production environment required. • Experience/knowledge in the following areas: Electrical circuit troubleshooting, PLC, Electronics, ARC flash, plumbing, steam and boiler, pneumatics, confined space, mobile equipment, Mig and Tig welding. • Mechanical Journeyman or Technical/Vocation Certificate preferred. • Ability to adapt to change. • Ability to solve problems and prioritize work. • Ability to bend, squat and kneel, and climb frequently. • Ability to stand for periods of a minimum of 3 hours. • Ability to work with minimum supervision. • Ability to work varied hours/days. • Ability to lift average weighted materials, 50 lbs. up to 70 lbs. occasionally. • Effective written and verbal communication skills • Ability to read and interpret blueprints mechanical and electrical schematics, piping diagrams, in orthographic, isometric, and sketch-views. • Candidates must successfully complete a skilled trades non-technical and technical test performed by employer.
