Title: Administrative Assistant (Finance/Operations)
Location: Queens, NY
Duration: Full Time
Responsibilities include:
- Assist in developing methodologies, analytical and automated models to study and evaluate administrative and operational problems and implements procedures to overcome them. For instance, some of the tasks will be assisting in the reconciliations process for design consultant contracts, Request for Proposal process, Contract Sub-Inclusion Process, Justification Memo-Additional Funding, language changes, and any A&E administrative management support role.
- Liaises with outside vendors/consultants.
- Assist in the development and implementation of a division-wide management plan.
- Assist in problem identification and solutions and assists in the implementation of procedures to correct them. For instance, management specialist will be involve the creation of (ATP Request) Authorization to Proceed Requests and ensuring the ATP-R are in compliance with internal procedures allowing the design consultant to be compensated as per the contract.
- Conduct reviews or system audits designed to test the efficiency of new procedures.
- Assist in resource allocation planning and analysis to support the objectives, and goals of the Authority.
- Prepares analytical reports on assigned projects.
- Perform related duties, as assigned.
Weighted Consideration:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills. Intermediate to advance skill level with Microsoft Suite applications.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with relevant background or an equivalent combination of education and work experience with at least five years full time experience in development and maintenance of management reporting, financial and data analysis.
