We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to establish and optimize manufacturing processes for electromechanical/optical sensor assemblies. This role will involve writing and updating procedures, driving process improvements, and ensuring quality and efficiency in production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, evaluate, and document manufacturing methods and procedures.
- Maintain assembly methods, fixturing, and tooling.
- Collaborate in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment to drive continuous improvement.
- Lead the development of manufacturing processes, procedures, and layouts, in line with design requirements.
- Provide technical support for production operations to ensure world-class performance.
- Coordinate supplier inspection and assembly methods.
- Lead process tooling development for error proofing and efficient labor application.
- Design and implement fixtures and systems to support production.
- Support electrical testing, failure analysis, and improvements of test fixturing.
- Contribute to cost reduction, quality improvement, and process upgrades.
- Train production operators and document technical processes (ECOs, Specifications, Drawings).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of electromechanical experience (optics preferred).
- Experience with ISO procedures and certification.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, microscopes).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts to senior management.
