Automation / Controls Engineer

We are looking for a driven Automation Engineer with a background in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering to join our team. In this role, you’ll design, implement, and test automation systems for applications like assembly, batch processing, and metrology, using advanced technologies such as controls and robotics to enhance efficiency, productivity, and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and test automation systems for automated assemblies.
• Develop and integrate control systems to automate production processes and reduce manual intervention.
• Lead the development of new automation technologies, including mobile robots.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions meet operational needs.
• Design and program HMI and SCADA systems to monitor and control automated systems.
• Troubleshoot and maintain automated systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.

Preferred Qualifications

• Programming experience in Python, C#, Ignition, or similar languages.
• Proficiency in CAD tools like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD Electrical.
• Knowledge of vacuum deposition or related vacuum processes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in designing and implementing control systems and automation.
• Hands-on experience with robotics (programming and implementation of robots, cobots, or mobile robots).
• Strong knowledge of sensors, actuators, and PLCs.
• Familiarity with SQL databases and data systems for automation.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in automation engineering, focusing on electrical or mechanical systems.
