They are seeking a dedicated and experienced Data Center Engineer to join their highly technical team. This role involves hands-on work with physical servers, network infrastructure, and IT components across various colocation facilities. Responsibilities include the physical setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of server and network hardware, ensuring smooth operations and efficient documentation practices.

Core Hours: Tuesday through Saturday, 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm or 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage lifecycle of servers and network devices.
• Install, configure, and maintain data center components.
• Plan and implement rack layouts and cabling.
• Diagnose hardware issues and coordinate repairs.
• Handle shipments and maintain inventory.
• Document infrastructure and processes.
• Build relationships with vendors and partners.
• Maintain office IT infrastructure.

Skills and Experience:

• 5+ years in data center engineering.
• Knowledge of server hardware, network devices, and data storage.
• Experience with network cabling and fiber optics.
• Basic Linux and networking knowledge.
• CCNA certification is a plus.
• Experience with racking, cabling, and data center tools.
• Basic scripting in Bash and Python is a plus.
• Strong time management and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
• Flexible hours and valid driver's license required.
