Project Surveyor

Hybrid onsite/remote –Ogden, Utah

6+ month contract-to-hire

Contract Rate $35 - $50 per hour

Job Description

Work directly with the Professional Licensed Surveyor of the company to assist with gathering project requirements, and research on documents, ensuring accuracy and completeness of survey work and mapping. Coordinate with in-house field survey crews, and in-house engineers, This is for a municipal civil engineering firm, with a rich history of working directly with all areas of municipal government entities in Utah and nearby states. Work on various municipal projects including: Roadway and Public Land easements, Metes and Bounds, Topographical, Construction, Horizontal Control, State Plane. Help draft documents, legal descriptions, and other Municipal Plating plans. May involve some travel to job sites with field survey crews.

Required Skills:

• 4+ years field survey work for municipal civil engineering
• Experience with design surveys, land survey plats, subdivision plats, land title, easements, topographical, and land-title surveys.
• Demonstrated experience with AutoCAD Civil 3d.
• GPS survey experience and software to run and/or read others work: Trimble, Microstation
• Valid drivers license, as you may occasionally be using company vehicles to travel to work sites.

Bonus / Soft Skills:

• Microstation, Geopak and GIS
• Strong desire to obtain your PLS, and go through any mentorship to obtain.
