Great opportunity to join a growing company that is bringing their IT operations/support in-house and transitioning away from an MSP. As the company's first IT Manager, you will own all IT operations, both strategic & tactical.
You will be a one-person show responsible for managing & supporting IT operations for almost 200 IT users in nearly 15 offices across several continents. You will provide hands-on support & management of internal IT systems, software, & hardware. You will also manage the company's IT vendors. You will report to the CEO and utilize IT vendors & consultants for projects, as needed.
This is a direct-hire position based in Miami, FL.
This is a hybrid role ; telecommute up to 2 days/week.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as a one-person show responsible for hands-on support & management of IT systems, software, & hardware
- Own all IT Operations and be both strategic & tactical
- Work with Executive Leadership to develop & maintain a Corporate IT Strategic Plan
- Develop & implement technology strategies that align with overall business goals/objectives
- Oversee enterprise technology system design, implementation, & maintenance, including hardware, software, & network infrastructure
- Verify that the organization's technology infrastructure is secure, reliable, & scalable
- Ensure that the organization's DR & BCP plans are accurate & tested annually
- Establish & manage IT budgets & procurement processes
- Maintain relationships with technology vendors & service providers.
- Provide regular reports to Executives on the company's technology performance & progress
- Collaborate with various depts. to identify technology needs & provide solutions
- Develop policies/procedures for technology usage, security, & security monitoring
- Keep up-to-date with emerging trends & technologies & recommend technology to help grow the business, including data analytics & AI
- Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, & standards related to technology
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years as a hands-on IT Manager managing IT operations
- 8+ years' experience with software, hardware, & network administration/support
- Experience managing software & hardware implementation projects
- Recent hands-on Windows systems administration & technical support experience
- Strong O365 experience
