Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Assisting attorneys with all aspects of litigation including discovery, court filings, and trial preparation. 2. Utilizing e-file systems to ensure accurate and timely filing of legal documents. 3. Conducting thorough legal research and analysis to support case development and strategy. 4. Providing litigation support by preparing discovery responses and objections. 5. Reviewing and summarizing medical records and other case-related documents. 6. Managing time entries and billing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. 7. Maintaining an organized calendar of case deadlines, court dates, and other important events. 8. Collaborating with attorneys, clients, and other parties to ensure effective communication and case progression. 9. Performing administrative tasks such as document management, correspondence, and client intake as needed.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in insurance defense. 2. Proficiency in e-filing and other legal software. 3. Strong legal research skills with the ability to analyze complex legal materials. 4. Experience in litigation support, including preparing discovery responses and objections. 5. Familiarity with medical records and the ability to accurately summarize pertinent information. 6. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage a busy calendar and meet deadlines. 7. Experience with time entries and billing in a legal setting. 8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 9. A proactive approach to work, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. 10. A paralegal certification or equivalent legal qualification is preferred.
