About the role :
We're seeking a Network Security Design Engineer to design and implement network security solutions and ensure seamless connectivity and optimal performance across our roadside networks.
You'll join an innovative team, who support strategic initiatives, enhance network reliability, and drive innovation in network architecture.

Day-to-day, you will:
- Develop and design network security solutions to address a wide range of technical challenges, ensuring robust, scalable, and secure network architecture.
- Implement network security solutions based on approved designs, ensuring minimal disruption to existing services and optimal performance.
- Provide ongoing support for network operations, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and performance optimization.
- Ensure all network activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and best practices, including adherence to IT Service Management (ITSM) policies for incident, request, and change management.
- Manage and configure firewalls, including developing and implementing security policies to safeguard network infrastructure and ensure compliance with organizational security standards.
This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferable skills and experiences, including:
- 5 or more years' experience creating policy, evaluating and monitoring on NGFW platforms (Palo Alto and Panorama preferred).
- Experience with task automation, including discovering automation use cases and developing solutions.
- Familiarity with security container networking environments (such as Kubernetes) and relevant security controls.
- Knowledge of network fabrics security segmentation (Cisco ACI desirable).
- Experience with Cisco Networking platforms to include ACI, NX-OS, IOS-XE systems.
- Experience with industrial control systems or intelligent transportation systems (preferred).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to conceptualize complex computer networks.
- Proficiency in identifying tasks and activities required to meet customer needs. requirements and setting goals and priorities in line with business objectives.
- Demonstrated experience defining processes and documenting procedures.
- Ability to work in a team of infrastructure, network and security professionals.
