Job description:
Performs general repairs, installations, and maintenance of facility equipment, building, and utility systems. Responsibilities include carpentry, floor repairs, painting, ceiling tile replacement, and light electrical work. Conducts routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and responds to maintenance work orders. Assists with production equipment repairs as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine facility maintenance (plumbing, lighting, electrical, and carpentry).
- Inspect and lubricate mechanical equipment.
- Complete demand and preventive maintenance work orders.
- Maintain cleanliness of mechanical rooms and workshop.
- Manage supply inventory and coordinate with vendors.
- Assist other technicians and staff on complex repairs and special projects.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years of facilities maintenance experience (pharmaceutical industry).
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet Explorer).
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in various environmental conditions, and stand for extended periods.
- Valid Maryland driver’s license.
- Preferred coursework in HVAC, plumbing, or general maintenance
