Our client in the telecommunications industry is in search of an OSP (Outside Plant) Installation inspector for a long term contract opportunity in Charlotte, NC. Candidates must live in market or be able to relocate at their own expense.
The OSP Installation Inspector is responsible for coordinating fiber-to-the-home service by monitoring project progress and addressing issues to meet cost, quality, and scheduling goals. This role also provides recommendations to management to keep projects on track.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage fiber circuit installations, collaborating with internal teams to meet deadlines.
- Interpret construction documents, including prints, plans, and fiber splicing diagrams.
- Supervise all field personnel and oversee contract resources as needed.
- Ensure compliance with fiber design, splicing matrix sheets, and documentation requirements.
- Coordinate outside plant installation teams and troubleshoot plant issues.
- Meet QA/compliance standards and budgetary requirements.
- Stay updated on new technology and maintain OSHA safety compliance.
- Provide on-call support for service impairments or outages.
- Identify and resolve system issues, determining root causes and solutions.

Pay Range: $40 - 45/HR depending on experience. The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
