Job Summary
Responsible for work procedures, scheduling, cost control, project specification conformity, establishment of manpower levels, monitoring and implementation of safety programs, project conformance to national, local and/or company building codes and the maintenance of accurate records. Implements the construction portion of the assigned project through day-to-day direction of all field activities and is responsible for all job site activities.
Ensures timely and efficient execution of fieldwork.
Acts as the primary customer contact for all construction project field activities. Ensures all construction follows design specifications, is completed on schedule, adheres to budget, meets accounting requirements and is built to quality standards.
Will function as a Project Manager on an engineering / procurement / construction management project.
Under minimal supervision will manage small to medium size construction across the depot.
Under minimal supervision, establishes field objectives and procedures within company guidelines as necessitated by conditions at the job site. Position may require travel.
Minimum Requirements
Must be willing to work overtime, varying hours and/or rotating shifts. Must be willing and able to work in an industrial environment that is in close proximity to and/or in a munition`s demilitarization facility. Bachelor's degree in a construction or related discipline or demonstrated combination of equivalent education and experience.
Must have 8+ years of construction and project related experience.
Possess a thorough knowledge of all engineering disciplines, construction technologies and job site management.
This is a journey level and the first level of Construction Management. Must be a United States or naturalized citizen able to obtain and maintain Hawthorne Army Depot (HWAD) site access. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Able to operate a computerized based terminal and proficient with Microsoft applications (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Must possess the ability to formulate reports, procedures, and written instructions.
Must maintain fitness-for-duty standards to perform the essential functions of the position, to include any HWAD drill, contingency and/or emergency requirement.
Preferred Qualififcations:
Assign, supervise and direct work activities of assigned personnel.
Responsible for performance evaluations of assigned personnel. Responsible for training and development of assigned personnel.
Other:
Review work of assigned personnel for compliance with policies and procedures, effective of coordination, technical accuracy, safety, surety, and for attainment of objectives.
