Topside / Topoff Maintenance Lead/ Operator - ARTCo - Saint Louis, MO
This is a full-time, non-exempt level position
Position Summary:
  • ADM is seeking a marine operator to work as a rig based out of our American River Transportation Company (ARTCo) in Saint Louis, Missouri.
Job Requirements:
  • Proficient in all job requirements of Lead / Operator
  • Ability to follow direction and execute tasks under the supervision of the shift leads and managers
  • Reading and writing skills sufficient to comprehend/complete a variety of documents
  • Ability to work in a flexible schedule; must allow for changes in assignments, and priorities depending upon identified needs of the rig or vessels
  • Operate Equipment (see specific equipment in departments below)
  • Lead safety meetings and come up with lesson plan and topic
  • Ability to properly inspect and operate mobile equipment; proficient in operating a loader and basic skills to operate a track hoe in various working conditions
  • Working knowledge in the process of drafting barges
  • Working knowledge in winch operations, securing of barges and proper rigging
  • Must be able to work in all types of climates
  • Enforce safety standards and policies and report deficiencies to management
  • Demonstrate ADM core values and incorporate them in training
  • Mentor and train less experienced colleagues
  • Conduct Job Cycle Checks and participate in the development and revision of SOPs
  • Use computer systems to aid in job scheduling and work tasks (i.e. Microsoft Applications, Fleetcom)
  • Ability to communicate with Leads in other departments including Vessel Captains and Management
  • Complete daily safety and production paperwork and computer entries
  • Welding experience or willing to learn how to weld
  • Willing to learn fiberglass repair
  • Willing to learn confined spaces and confined space entry
  • Willing to survey, pump, shingle barges
  • Willing to learn other aspects of fleeting and fleet maintenance not mentioned
  • Willing to become Crane Certified
Job Responsibilities:
  • Crane Operator / skid steer / forklift / material handler/ barge and barge fleet maintenance/ welding/ confined space entry/ shingling/pumping/surveying barges
Physical Requirements:
  • Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen and Company human performance exam (physical ability test)
  • Standing for prolonged periods of time
  • Frequent heavy lifting
  • Prolonged periods of kneeling, bending and climbing stairs/ladders
  • Ability to work near or on large bodies of water, at various heights and in confined spaces
