Job Description The Warehouse Associate will perform any combination of the following tasks: receive, store, pick and distribute materials and products within the company to meet the needs of internal and external customers. Will work closely on a team of 6 other Warehouse Associates.
- Pick outgoing orders including domestic truck orders, small parcel packages, and international shipments.
- Pack and label shipping containers according to Haz-mat and international requirements.
- Process packages using the UPS/Fed-Ex, Navision, and Pacejet computer system.
- Unloads, receives, unpacks trucks, and issues materials to designated locations.
- Checks goods received against bills of lading, purchase orders, etc.
- Places goods on racks, shelves, or floor locations.
- Accurately sorts, counts, and checks items for damage.
- Handles the transfer of goods using equipment such as: electronic pallet truck, motorized lift and other equipment required in receiving area or shipping area.
- Perform cycle counting when needed and participate in annual inventory count.
- Perform general clean-up of department daily.
Qualifications - High School Diploma or GED required
- One year or more warehouse experience in receiving and shipping
- Must read and write in English and possess a good command of the English language
- Basic computer skills are required
- Must be able to lift 50+ pounds frequently
- Able to climb and move 7-step rolling inventory ladder
- Must have the ability to stand and walk on a cement warehouse floor for 90% of the workday
- Must be able to work overtime when required which may include very occasional weekend work
