ARServices is seeking a Chief of Staff to work in the Falls Church, VA area.

The Chief of Staff will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The selected individual will be an integral part of the Executive Leadership team and will be chartered with expanding the company's business base both organically with current customers by developing new business opportunities under existing umbrella contracts and by identifying, evaluating, and pursuing strategic opportunities with new customers and partners.

The Chief of Staff will serve as the primary, senior executive point of contact regarding day-to-day corporate functions and will be responsible for managing and overseeing the activities of all service delivery personnel as well as subcontractor/teaming partner efforts used in the performance of the contracts and task orders. The Chief of Staff will be responsible for formulating and enforcing quality work standards, assigning schedules, reviewing deliverables, supervising employee and contractor personnel and communicating policies, purposes, and goals of the organization to employees, partners and clients.

A qualified candidate will perform the following duties and responsibilities, but are not limited to:

  • Manage and oversee all activities of ARServices service delivery personnel as well as subcontractor/teaming partner efforts used in the performance of the contracts.
  • Provide on-going support and expertise to all management personnel, leading and assisting them in establishing and meeting company financial goals and objectives.

  • Assist in growing revenue by identifying and developing new business opportunities/growth areas while maintaining valuable relationships with current government customers and partners.
  • Identify, qualify, and win new, long-term business opportunities that capitalize on our core capabilities, past performance, and position the company for large program opportunities.
  • Ensure the continued growth and success of the company through strategic Business Development (BD) planning, team building, and the implementation of policies and procedures to develop key partnerships.
  • Help ensure the continuity of the company's marketing activities; troubleshoot unsuccessful efforts and analyze patterns of success.
  • Guarantee effective proposal development and transition onto contracts as required in support of subcontract and prime contract responsibilities.
  • Coordinate with teaming partners and customers on business development and staffing activities.
  • Manage customer relationships and communicate opportunities and issues to the proposal and capture teams on a continual basis; collaborate, coordinate, and communicate effectively with essential back-office and critical operational functions.
  • Set performance expectations, business expectations, quality standards, and human capital management standards of the ARServices leadership team; monitor progress of the team in meeting expectations and provide guidance and support when necessary.
  • Perform a variety of tasks including support for development and execution of organizational change management plans and deliverables.


Requirements

Security Clearance Requirement:

Active/current Top Secret clearance is required.

Required Qualifications:
  • A Graduate Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Must have a minimum of 10 years supervisory, P/L and management experience leading sizeable teams related to professional services, with demonstrated performance in running and managing multi-million-dollar programs with a portfolio in excess of $100M.
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) Program Management Professional (PMP) certification and/or Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level III Program Management certification strongly desired.
  • Significant senior executive expertise and accomplishments in the GOVCON professional services market in the DoD and Department of Homeland Security customer and industry bases.
  • Ability to manage portfolio to meet corporate financial and quality objectives and have Profit & Loss (P/L) leadership experience managing a portfolio with an annual revenue in excess of $100M.
  • Must have the ability to engage in client facing activities and proposal development for complex selling solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and win new business with a strong network of professionals and clients.
  • Must have the capability to take a new contract or task order award and build a high performing team around it.
