Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner for the Oncology Institute:

The Palliative Care Team at CMMC is looking for a new member to spearhead palliative care services for the new Oncology Institute. This Palliative Care NP, while part of the CMMC inpatient Palliative Care Team, will work primarily at the new Cancer Care Center to provide expanded palliative care services to patients receiving medical, surgical, radiation, and gynecologic oncology care.  This role requires initiative in working collaboratively with physician and APP specialists in all areas of oncology to provide specialty palliative care including assessing and managing symptoms and alleviating distress, facilitating advance care planning, and directing conversations with patients and families to foster a better understanding of treatment options and how their goals of care can best be optimized.  This position requires two years of post-licensure clinical experience, preferably in palliative care or hospice, but will consider strong experience in oncology.

If you are passionate about making a difference and are looking for your next great career opportunity, we look forward to reviewing your application!
