Job Description
BrandStar Digital is seeking an experienced Client Services Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience supporting marketing agency clients and directing the work of others.

The Director of Client Services is responsible for leading the successful launch and management of assigned marketing projects and campaigns of various types and complexity for BrandStar Digital clients as well as internal marketing projects. The position involves managing a team of people dedicated to the accounts, identifying upsell and cross-sale opportunities, and working with internal and external parties to meet goals. The Director of Client Services is responsible for managing scope, timelines, budget, client relationships and overall project success. This includes but is not limited to creating schedules, managing team resources in a multidivisional environment, creating documentation, and developing standards and best practices. In addition, the Director of Client Services is responsible for managing the net retention score of the agency.

Specific responsibilities include:
  • Manage and maintain client marketing projects which vary in size and scope.
  • Act as the main contact person for assigned clients. Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, team members, and project stakeholders. Assist subordinate Account Managers in relationship building efforts and strategies.
  • Responsible for overseeing an organization's customer experience strategy, fostering brand and customer loyalty and ensuring a customer-centric approach
  • Field issues from clients or internal teams before escalating to upper level management.
  • Collaborate across departments to implement customer experience initiatives and align the departments and customer touchpoints to ensure positive customer experiences.
  • Lead strategic planning for assigned accounts and projects.
  • Effectively manage projects and aid account team in direction and completion of assigned projects.
  • Create, monitor, and manage various marketing projects with varying levels of complexity, cost, time constraints, and staffing needs (internal and external staffing).
  • Coordinate and actively participate in all stages of project development including set up, research, strategy, design, campaign development, and reporting.
  • Ensure projects are delivered accurately, on-time, within budget.
  • Respond to changing demands and deadlines of accounts' needs by providing appropriate solutions.
  • Provide accurate scope and cost estimates to clients in instances of project deviations from original scope or budget.
  • Liaise directly between clients and all internal and external resources to interpret specifications ensuring that project scope and needs are understood by all parties. Provide clarification when there is ambiguity.
  • Leverage team resources for maximum utilization and project efficiency.

Experience and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years related client services and retention experience within a marketing agency.
  • Passion for making your customers and team successful.
  • Experience consulting on marketing strategies and best practices.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and with a wide range of employees with different skill sets.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as presentation skills.
  • Propensity for relationship building.
  • Has a "whatever it takes" attitude.
  • Self-directed, goal-oriented and flexible, enjoys working in a fast-paced and at times challenging environment.
  • Possess a strong attention to detail ensuring quality standards are achieved.
  • Ability to engage in proactive and regular communication with executives and team leaders at all levels.
  • Good active listening skills required.
  • Assertive and confident to ask questions to gain additional clarity and understanding.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously and handle stressful situations in a professional manner.
  • Previous experience working in a client-facing role successfully translating client objectives into project goals and assignments for design and development teams.
  • Previous experience managing schedules, budgets, assets, and overall project organization to ensure requirements and project deliverable dates were clearly communicated, understood, and executed upon.
  • Understanding and proficiency in project management software tools for use in internal and client-facing schedules and overall project communication.
  • Competency with Google Analytics, Pixel Tagging, and various website CMS.
  • Intermediate to advanced level proficiency with MS Office Suite of applications.
