Description Reporting to the Chief Membership, Impact and Industry Officer, the Manager, Membership, Impact and Industry will support in managing the day-to-day operations of the Member Relations, Awards Administration, Global Outreach, Talent Development and Science & Technology departments. The Manager will play a crucial role in providing administrative support, facilitating communication, and contributing to the overall success of our organization. The Manager will work collaboratively and strategically with the Academy board, members, external industry partners and internal staff departments to ensure that all ongoing projects are on track to meet objectives and goals. The candidate must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about supporting the Academy's leadership position within the film industry as a global, year-round organization as well a commitment to diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion.
Duties and Responsibilities: - Drive strategic plans from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and goals.
- Provide direct support to the CMIIO and other senior leaders, including managing schedules, preparing presentations and high level internal and external meetings.
- Assist in preparing for board and committee meetings, presentations, and other high-level initiatives.
- Support Membership and Awards Admin programs including organizing and planning group events both in Los Angeles and other cities, maintaining program milestones, documentation (program plans, reporting, status updates), materials, and tracking budgets.
- Facilitate outreach to studios, agencies, guilds, community organizations, international film festivals to partner on year-round member and industry initiatives.
- Ensures timely and effective completion of projects and initiatives of the CMIIO.
- Collaborate with multiple Academy departments on member communications related to Membership, the Oscars, Talent Development and Sci-tech initiatives.
- Serve as a liaison to the Executive Office and Board Committees ensuring a high level of confidentiality for sensitive information and materials.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Position Requirements Qualifications and Requirements: - A bachelor's degree in arts, film media or related field.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of professional experience working in the film industry or high-level executive administration.
- Handle sensitive information and matters with a high level of discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Create opportunities and initiatives to bring department team members together with a goal to further team building and team engagement
- Experience building and supporting multicultural and DEAI initiatives.
- Excellent written communication skills and experience drafting email correspondence for large audiences.
- Experience in organizing and planning live events.
- Experience navigating and facilitating conversations on complex racial and sociopolitical issues.
- Demonstrate high-level knowledge of key film industry players and trends.
- Ability to work discreetly and professionally with high level executives, talent, and the Board of Governors; work professionally and gracefully with Academy members and the public.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and experience with relational database a plus; CRM desired.
- Able to work and meet deadlines under pressure and handle multiple ongoing projects at once.
- Demonstrated ability to influence, build relationships, and deliver results in a complex, cross-functional organization.
- Night and weekend work may be required and may be assigned on short notice.

The expected salary for this role is $72,000. The actual pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and other factors permitted by law. Decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis.
