We are a collaborative mid-sized agency with an immediate opportunity for an Account Director to join our growing team and work on a major CPG/personal care company!

You'll oversee the success of all client programming, manage complex projects, and lead and inspire team members.

Location: NYC/Hybrid (Located in the NYC HUB with Be IRL 2 Days/Week) or tri-state area

What You'll Do:
  • Serve as a strategic voice and day-to-day account contact for the client
  • Drive execution of integrated campaigns (including PR strategies, talent and influencer partnerships, brand partnerships, and more)
  • Assist in crafting media materials (media strategies, press releases, pitches, etc.)
  • Drive media relations programs, from strategic oversight to helping the team to brainstorm new angles and conducting press outreach
  • Lead client calls and internal meetings, serving as a strategic, dynamic, and trusted partner to the client
  • Responsible for team deliverables and all client communication (emails, Slacks, etc.)
  • Directly manage 2-3 employees that could range from AC-AS; coach in real-time and provide actionable feedback and guidance to add value to teammate and the work
  • Create, review, and track program budgets
  • Skilled at written and verbal communications
  • Be a problem solver for the team
  • Maintain strong media connections or be willing to build new ones as needed
  • From time to time as needed, help participate in new business activities
  • Be a voracious consumer of media and culture with the ability to bring fresh thinking to client work


What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7+ years of experience working in-house or at an agency
  • Experience managing a team of direct reports and/or mentoring junior talent
  • Media expertise and campaign development experience
  • Media savviness including corporate storytelling and consumer trends and culture
  • Experience in managing & working with third party vendors, partners & networks
  • Experience working on an integrated agency team (IAT)
  • A solution-oriented and collaborative approach to all work, alongside an entrepreneurial and self- starter mindset
  • Excellent client relationship management with the ability to proactively anticipate client needs

Our Flexible Work Policy:

We believe that our best work happens in a hybrid working environment. If you are in the NYC (or commutable surrounding distance) hub we want to see you in person 2 days a week. That could mean in our office, in our client's office, on the road with them or attending an industry event.

For those outside the NYC hub, you will be asked to be in person too. Examples of this may include client meetings, events or team meetings. There will also be in person opportunities for you to connect with others who live in your hub to collaborate and work together.
