Job Description
Client Profile- Company founded in 1973, specializing in public transit, public and bus transportation.
Job Summary- Responsible for providing above average customer service in a call center and retail center setting. Must be comfortable interfacing with people in person and via phone. Additionally must be interested in potential future leadership responsibilities.
Duties
  • Responsible for communicating current and accurate information on current routes, products, passes, services and upcoming projects; events, etc.
  • Opening and closing duties at the retail desk and or call enter; comfortable with cash handling tasks, deposits and reporting.
  • First point of contact to transit center guest, assisting with up-to-date information regarding routes, products, passes and other services at the retail desk.
  • Assist guest with information on how to ride the bus system and other key information as needed
  • Ensure the proper supply and display of route information, pass inventory and promotional materials.
  • Assist with customer service project(s) and survey(s) execution
  • Accept customer comments and complaints to ensure resolution and quality control
  • Maintain knowledge of company products, services, projects and plans
  • Must be okay with working a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
  • Open to taking on more responsibilities over time including managing daily balancing sales transactions, running monthly reports, process purchase orders, leading customer service team in retail center and or call center.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, some college is preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in retail, hospitality, customer service or a related field required.
  • Experience utilizing mass transit, preferably local transit
  • Bilingual or ASL experience a plus
  • Above average Microsoft Office Suite experience
  • Thrive in a fast paced environment with coaching support
  • Dedicated to excellent attendance
  • Above average decision making and problem solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervisor.
  • Okay with standing and sitting for periods of time and to move intermittently throughout the workday.
  • Flexible day shift hours starting as early as 7am and 10am to 4pm and 7pm; potential rotating Saturday shift 9am to 3pm
  • Starting pay: $14.00 to $15.00 hourly (depending on experience), competitive incentives over time
