Sanitation Lead 2ND SHIFT 3pm-11:30pm
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Responsible for cleaning all packing equipment including, but not limited to, the baggers, packing line, packing tables and box formers.
  • Responsible for cleaning cooler floors, racks and coils.
  • Maintain warehouse interior by washing, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, dusting pipes.
  • Maintain warehouse accessibility and appearance by picking up trash.
  • Remove trash by emptying trash containers and transporting to trash disposal area.
  • Keep cleaning equipment operational.
  • Supervise sanitation employees to ensure proper sanitation standard operating procedures are followed.
  • Ensure proper staffing is available to efficiently conduct sanitation activities.
  • Must work safely at all times in accordance with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Document all cleaning actions on the Cleaning Logs.
  • Conduct ATP testing on equipment on a weekly basis.
  • Follow all food safety, food security and good manufacturing practices.
  • Use appropriate color cleaning equipment for different areas of the facility.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment when necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent education.
  • Six month's experience in a position with related job functions and/or skills preferably within the agriculture industry and in an operations environment
  • Understand and have knowledge of chemicals used in the cleaning process; understand the packing process and equipment part/systems in order to ensure proper sanitization of equipment and efficient line start ups.
  • Bilingual (Spanish / English) helpful
  • Basic computer skills (Word and Excel) preferred.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
  • Must possess working knowledge of food safety and observe good manufacturing practices.
  • Must be able to work a flexible work schedule (any days during the week including weekends when necessary)
  • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to have full repetitive use of both hands and fingers, i.e. simple grasping.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Ability to communicate clearly including the ability to communicate work issues in a clear, professional manner.
  • Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work independently, high level of dependability and work ethic.
WORK DEMANDS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS : While performing the duties of this Job it is primarily (sedentary or working in a chilled factory or warehouse environment), the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk or hear; sit for prolong periods and use hands to finger, handle, lift or feel. May be exposed periodically to chilled or warm temperatures within the operation.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Pay Range:
  • The base hourly wage we reasonably expect to pay for this role is: $19.66 - $29.52.
  • New hires start at $19.66.
  • The actual hourly wage for this role will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience.
  • Please note that base pay is one important aspect of a compelling Total Rewards package. The base pay range indicated here does not include any additional benefits or cash bonuses that you may be eligible for based on your role and/or employment type.
