Specialized Recruiting Group is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist for a manufacturing company in the City Of Industry. The ideal candidate will be proficient in handling Form 1099, Concur expenses, overseas subsidiary company payments, and calculating foreign exchange rates. Pay: $ 24 .00 -$25.00 DOE Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Responsibilities: Pay vendors by monitoring discounts, scheduling checks, resolving purchase orders, contracts, invoices, and discrepancies, ensuring credits, and issuing stop-payments, or amendments. Calculate foreign exchange rates Maintain accounts payable reports, spreadsheets, and files. Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances. Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports and recording entries. Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting transactions. Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions. Update and maintain the vendor database. Process and enter 200-300 invoices weekly. Review invoices for documentation and approval before payment. Print and obtain signatures on all accounts payable checks. Distribute signed checks as required. Assist in monthly closings. Establish and maintain effective relationships with vendors and employees. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist in a manufacturing or similar industry Strong knowledge of accounts payable principles, practices, and procedures. Proficiency in using accounting software and MC Office applications, particularly Excel Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to handle a high volume of transactions accurately and meet tight deadlines.
