Location: Chicago, ILSalary: $35-45 per hour Industry: Packaging Machinery EquipmentEmployment Type: Direct Hire Job Scope: The Field Service Technician will oversee and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities at various secondary packaging equipment in food and beverage manufacturing plants. The incumbent will possess excellent customer relations skills and must be qualified to do mechanical and electrical adjustments, trouble shoot and repair equipment. Job Duties May Include: Manage and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activitiesParticipate in installation activities with packaging OEM companiesManage and monitor validation of machine settings according to machine setting guidelines and specificationsDocument customer activities and line performance of the installed customer production linesReview customer activitiesInitiate follow up tasks Manage performance expectations of equipmentComply with the requirements and other duties as assigned by management.Comply with all company regulations.Requirements: Minimum Engineering Associates degree in Mechanical Engineer, Electrical, Electronic, Industrial or related field required5 years minimum of prior experience in the industry and/or 3 years in the same position.Experience with Word, PowerPoint and Excel AdvancedEnglish; fluent in speaking and writingBi-Lingual preferred (Spanish, Italian, German)Must be available for domestic and international travel as neededStrong electromechanical backgroundKnowledge and experience in the food and beverage industryKnowledge and experience in the packaging industryKnowledge and experience in packaging equipmentKnowledge and experience in maintenance managementCustomer orientedEOE/ADA IND123#LI-SRG10#clearance
