Job Title: Material Handler Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Material Handler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the receipt, documentation, and distribution of materials and supplies. You will ensure the efficient operation of our warehouse and support the production process by delivering necessary materials and supplies where needed. Additionally, you will maintain accurate inventory records and uphold safety standards.ResponsibilitiesReceive materials and supplies by verifying purchase order information on ERP systems, including PO number and quantity.Document materials receipts and organize them into appropriate storage locations.Locate materials by pulling and verifying items listed on production orders.Deliver production materials and supplies to required locations and stage finished products for final distribution.Pack materials for shipping and prepare finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing products.Record product shipments and maintain inventory records by labeling and tracking materials and supplies.Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items or signal machine operators to assist with moving materials onto and off trucks, ships, and loading docks.Complete pre-use inspections and perform operator repairs on material-handling equipment.Keep the warehouse area clean and orderly.Adhere to workplace safety regulations.Essential Skills2 years of related warehouse experience (shipping and receiving, kitting, packing)ERP experience, with a strong preference for SAPAbility to work in a fast-paced and highly regulated environment with adaptability to changing prioritiesStrong team playerAbility to lift 25 lbs unassistedAbility to visually distinguish colorsHigh School Diploma or equivalentValid Drivers LicenseAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with material handling and inventory managementCertification to operate forklifts (a plus)Proficiency with SAP ERP systemsAbout Aerotek:We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
