You have completed a BS in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. You may have also obtained an advanced degree in similar fields. You have worked in an engineering role for at least 8 years, are registered for a Professional Engineering License (P. Eng) and are ready to join Framatome and help deliver clean, safe energy and advance nuclear technology.

- Design, analysis and qualification of Structures, Systems and Components.
- Experience in system engineering and design review processes.
- Experience in manufacturing and constructability methods.
- Ability to support design and constructability review meetings.
- Working knowledge and understanding of CSA N285.0, CSA B51, CSA N299/Z299, ASME BPVC.
- Familiarity with CSA S16, CSA N289, National Building Code of Canada, ASME B30.20.
- Familiarity with engineering software tools, such as ANSYS, AutoPIPE, AutoCAD, Solid Works, MicroShield.
- Ability to prepare and/or provide critical peer review of various engineering calculations and reports.
- Effective written and verbal communication with colleagues and clients.
- OPG ECC experience and ability to navigate in asset suite.
- Detail-oriented, having the ability to professionally debate, reason and to demonstrate technical capability in relations to colleagues, supervisors and customers.
- Ability to work well with senior engineers and other disciplines.
- Ability to respond rapidly to changing demands.
- Ability and willingness to self-reflect and course correct during various design stages preparation, to overcome barriers and meet project quality and deadlines.
- Ability to execute work to high safety and quality requirements.

As a Principal Mechanical Engineer in Pickering, Ontario, you will be part of the proven team in the Installed Base Business Unit. Your work will include:
- Performing standard engineering assignments typically in areas of design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing, preparation of specifications, execution of field tasks and resolution of field problems.
- Completing field visits to support engineering work development.
- Liaising with clients to ensure solutions identified meet underlying needs.
- Completing engineering deliverables to support plant lifetime operations including design, construction, testing, commissioning, plant operations, and maintenance.
