We’re working with a major energy company looking for an in-house lawyer with strong commercial transactional experience gained in the midstream sector, to join on a fixed term contract for the next 12 to 14 months at least.
The most important part of the role is working on complex high-risk commercial agreement negotiations for their long haul oil sands business, as well as more conventional pipeline commercial agreement work. While midstream commercial transactional expertise is the core of the role, it is a broader position with a range of other work as well, which might include M&A, construction and procurement, supply chain, regulatory, environment, land, etc.
