Job Title: Executive Director - Health, Education, Social, and Community Services & Membership Organizations
Location: Grande Prairie, Alberta
Salary: $20-$40 per hour or fixed monthly salary (to be negotiated)
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time (30 to 40 hours per week)
Start Date: As soon as possible

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Executive Director to lead our organization toward continued success and growth. The Executive Director will be instrumental in setting strategic objectives, overseeing the implementation of policies and programs, and representing the organization in key negotiations and public functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
Establish and oversee organizational objectives, policies, and programs aligned with our mission and values.
Develop and implement strategic plans that drive long-term sustainability and success.
Resource Allocation:
Allocate material, human, and financial resources to implement organizational policies and programs.
Establish financial and administrative controls, oversee promotional campaigns, and manage personnel planning.
Human Resource Management:
Lead the establishment of major departments and associated senior staff positions.
Select and supervise middle managers, directors, and other executive staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Operational Coordination:
Coordinate the work of regions, divisions, or departments to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
Promote collaboration across teams and ensure smooth operations at all levels.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Represent the organization, or delegate representatives, in negotiations, official functions, and partnerships.
Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including community partners, and public and private entities.
Specialization:
Leverage your expertise in areas such as education, communication and research areas to contribute to the organization’s success.
Qualifications/Skills:
Education:
A university degree, preferably a Ph.D. in Social Sciences, Education, or a related field is highly desirable.
Specialization in a particular Social Sciences area and education or previous experience is an asset.
Experience:
Several years of senior management experience in a similar industry, with a proven track record in strategic planning, policy development, and resource allocation.
Experience in educational and research institutions, along with a background in nonprofit leadership and board membership, is highly desirable.
Skills:
Strong in strategic planning and financial acumen, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to lead and motivate teams effectively.
Work Conditions:
Location: Work may be fully on-site, hybrid, or involve significant travel.
Schedule: Full-time with flexibility in hours, including potential evening, weekend, and on-call duties.
Environment: A fast-paced setting with tight deadlines and a high level of responsibility.
