Software Developer (Web Security Research) Fortinet delivers cybersecurity everywhere you need it. We secure the entire digital attack surface from devices, data, and apps and from data center to home office.
Focus on the latest web vulnerabilities, analyze and evaluate.
Develop signatures to detect web-attack-packages.
Work with R&D and QA throughout the signature development lifecycle.
Research web security and vulnerabilities of common web server frameworks.
Requirements:
B.S in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering; M.S. preferred.
Proficient in development tools and environments under LINUX, such as gcc gdb libc, etc., able to understand GNU Makefile.
Deep knowledge of the HTTP/HTTPS protocol.
Experience with common web servers and proxies.
Desired coding skills: Shell, Python, C, Java.
Understanding of Web security issues, such as DDoS, WebShell, OWASP top 10.
Highly motivated and self-driven problem solver.
Good team player and good communication skills.
Related experience with CVE is preferred.
Education Requirement:
B.S./M.S. in EE/CS.
The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be between $90,000 - $134,000 annually. Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labour market, job type, and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate’s subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, and experience.
