Bottle Logic Brewing is hiring a full-time Packaging Technician to join our production team! We operate a 30bbl four-vessel brewhouse, a main-side cellar of ten 30bbl tanks and fourteen 60bbl tanks, a Wild Goose canning line, and a GAI rotary bottler. Our 7bbl pilot system with a twenty-tank cellar gives us nearly unlimited flexibility in exploring the boundaries of beer. The base pay range for this position is between $16 - $18 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
YOUR ROLE WILL INCLUDE, BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:
- Packaging of beers into cans, bottles, and kegs.
- Cleaning, cleaning, and more cleaning, both in the cellar and throughout brewery grounds.
- Operate aspects of packaging, including quality checks, labeling, palletizing, and movement of finished materials.
- Obtaining the proper authorization to package a beer.
- Document key quality parameters and verify that beer meets specifications.
- Prepping equipment beforehand to utilize team time efficiently and effectively.
- Ability to troubleshoot packaging equipment and communicate issues to management.
- Keeping production areas clean and organized at all times.
- Communicating with management and other packaging team members on the status of packaging.
- Organize, track, and audit inventory of bottles, cans, crowns, labels, and all other packaging supplies.
- Building the Bottle Logic brand through promotional activities (festivals, beer dinners, etc.).
- Shipping and receiving deliveries.
- Washing, filling, palletizing, and storing kegs for use.
- Adjunct ingredient prep work. (Vanilla bean slicing, coconut toasting, banana flamb-ing, etc)
- Other brewery-related tasks that may require assistance, as assigned by brewery leadership.
- Performing all functions according to Bottle Logic procedures and policies.
CANDIDATES MUST POSSESS: - Excellent communication, time management, troubleshooting, and organizational skills.
- Strong overall understanding of safety procedures, regulations, and requirements.
- Communicate clearly and concisely with respect to all Bottle Logic's personnel at all levels.
- Physical capability of regularly lifting up to 55lbs and maneuvering 165lbs, comfort working at heights, in cramped spaces and awkward positions, and in hot and cold environments for an extended period of time.
- 21+ years of age, and the ability to pass a criminal background and illegal drug test.
