Job Description SUMMARY: This position is the primary point of contact in facilitating customer satisfaction at retail through reducing credits, identifying and repairing delivery timing issues, and communicating with the distribution centers any specific problems faced by our retailers. This position is also the primary point of contact on the tracking of and maintaining of delivery schedules to increase order size and reduce freight related problems and costs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The individual must have the ability to perform the responsibilities listed below. This list is not all inclusive of duties that may be requested by the department head or a member of upper management but is intended for an understanding of the purpose of the position. It is the responsibility of each individual at AWG to provide ultimate customer service to our members to support their efforts in increasing same store sales and profits.
- Coordinate store audits to reduce shortages and mispicks. This would include analysis of credit reports and selection of stores for the audit department. Target order selection with high credit % retailers to reduce issues on both ends of the supply chain, warehouse slot to store backroom.
- Review audit paperwork and deny credits requested due to audits performed. Follow up with the store to ensure a better understanding of the audit program and its purpose.
- Improve load conditions by frequent dock inspections. Include auditing pallets and documenting any stacking problems for the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Inspect loads to specific stores during loading and after transport at the store level. Effectively communicate to the Warehouse Supervisor and/or Store Manager/Owner any findings.
- Perform random FSMA (Food Safety) audits in the warehouse on staged loading pallets. Insure compliance on cross contamination, barriers being used between fresh meat - fresh chicken - processed - fresh fish.
- Perform random FSMA (Food Safety) audits for our retailers at the time of unloading. Explain warehouse processes for FSMA compliance.
- Work with warehouse shift manager concerning issues with selectors and loaders based on store condition complaints.
- Liaison between the warehouse operations and our member stores.
- Work with chronic offenders to reduce shortage credits. Include detailed research of all large credit requests by reviewing loading and delivery documentation.
- Analyze daily reports of order filler production. Include random audits of order filler production and follow up with Warehouse Supervisor.
- Perform frequent store visits to assure retailers of our customer service efforts and concerns.
- Check item slots of repeat claims for shortages or mispicks to ensure correct product location.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Degree or equivalent; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Warehouse mobile equipment, valid driver's license.
