Practice Details:
Dawson Creek BC is seeking an experienced Family Practice-Anesthetist (FPA) to provide advanced skills FP-Anesthesia and preferably also willing to practice full-scope Family Medicine. The community has several Family Medicine clinics, all working cooperatively and providing a full spectrum of patient services.
Emergency Room shifts also available if qualified. Core specialties available: Internal Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Orthopedics, Surgery, and Psychiatry. Other opportunities for advanced skills in addition to GPA include Oncology, Maternity, and Emergency.
Dawson Creek and District Hospital is a full-service community hospital that provides service to Dawson Creek and surrounding communities. It has 31 acute care beds and 15 regional adult psychiatric beds. The Emergency Room sees 22,000+ visits per year. Hospital services include:

Compensation:
Estimated Gross Income: $350,000
RSA Incentives: Recruitment Incentive: $20,000
Retention Flat Fee: $35,798.40
Retention Premium: 23.10%
Moving allowance: $9,000 - $15,000 (TBD)
MOCAP (Medical On Call Availability Program) available on top of MSP billings. REEF (Rural Emergency Enhancement Funding) available when covering ER shifts - this is on top of MSP billings and MOCAP payments. Rural Education Action Plan (REAP) available. Rural Continuing Medical Education (RCME) available.
Moving allowance: $15,000 if moving from outside of Canada; $12,000 if moving within Canada but outside of BC; $9,000 if moving within BC. Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA) funding is subject to change without notice.
