Insurance Attorney Responsibilities Handle a diverse caseload of insurance-related matters, including but not limited to coverage disputes, bad faith claims, and subrogation cases Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to provide strategic advice and guidance to clients on insurance-related issues Collaborate with clients to understand their business objectives and provide proactive legal solutions that align with their goals Represent clients in state and federal courts, as well as alternative dispute resolution forums, advocating on their behalf in insurance litigation matters Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements. Negotiate settlements when appropriate Stay abreast of changes in insurance laws and regulations, advising clients on compliance issues and potential impacts on their operations Insurance Attorney Position Requirements Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school (Top 25%) Admission to the state bar in Louisiana 3-4 years of experience in handling complex coverage matters and litigation Strong analytical and research skills Excellent written and oral communication abilities Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
