The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in handling complex commercial litigation matters, excellent analytical skills, and a dedication to providing top-tier client service. Litigation Associate Responsibilities Case Management: Independently manage a diverse caseload of complex commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution, including pre-trial, trial, and appellate work. Research & Analysis: Conduct thorough legal research, analyze intricate legal issues, and draft high-quality memoranda, pleadings, motions, and briefs. Discovery: Oversee all aspects of discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, taking and defending depositions, and managing electronic discovery. Court Appearances: Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials. Client Interaction: Maintain proactive communication with clients, provide strategic advice, and develop strong relationships to understand and meet their legal needs. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with partners, senior associates, and other team members to develop case strategies and execute effective legal tactics. Business Development: Participate in business development initiatives, including attending networking events, writing articles, and contributing to client pitches. Litigation Associate Position Requirements Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. 3-5 years of experience in complex commercial litigation at a reputable law firm. Active member in good standing of the Texas State Bar. Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills; strong oral advocacy and negotiation abilities. Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Proficiency with legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis) and familiarity with electronic discovery platforms.
