One Family.nnPurpose StatementnnMaintenance Technician works within the Maintenance Department, controls the efficient operation of all plant equipment by performing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electronic repair and preventive maintenance.nnKey Accountabilities and OutcomesnnConduct preventative maintenance on all plant equipment.nUses basic plumbing, mechanical and general facilities and building maintenance knowledge as needed.nComplete assigned work orders correctly and professionally.nUtilize the lock out tag out program.nTrouble-shoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical failures.nPerforms plumbing and pipe fitting as needed.nMaintains work area in a safe and orderly fashion according to GMP and Safety guidelines.nOperates Rich’s SCADA system and completes appropriate paperwork.nTrains new Maintenance Department Associates and team members as needed.nWill be required to work with and train operations Associates on basic equipment troubleshooting and assist operations as needed with production.nPerforms any other related miscellaneous duties assigned by Team Leader.nnFOOD SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIESnnFollow all GMP’s, food safety, and quality policies.nEnsures all GMP and all Food hygiene and Food safety standards are in compliance.nReport all food safety incidents such as GMP violations, ingredient and product contamination, metal detector, screen, or magnet deficiencies, glass breakage, and pest harborage.nReview food defense and quality records for precision, accuracy, and conformance to document control procedures, providing written verification as required.nEnsure employee compliance in the areas of food defense, food regulations, and product / process quality; provide adequate coaching as needed.nProvide immediate and long-term corrective action in the event of non-compliance to food defense and quality policies.nRecord accurate and legible results on documentationnAlways provide adequate housekeeping.nnKnowledge, Skills, and ExperiencennMust have High School Diploma or GED/equivalent education with 1-3 years experience in manufacturing (food processing preferred)nMust have general mechanical knowledge and electrical knowledge as demonstrated by passing an internal testnMust have basic plumbing and general facilities/building maintenance knowledgenMust have good communication skills, both written and verbalnMust have the ability to train other Associates in Maintenance operationsnMust have the desire and ability to operate as a member of a Self-Directed work teamnMust be proficient on Rich’s SCADA systemnHas an awareness of and the ability to follow Associate Safety guidelinesnHas an awareness of and the ability to follow GMP and Food Safety guidelinesnUnderstands proper machine operating and adjusting proceduresnMust have the ability to work in and contribute to Production Improvement, Associate Involvement and Temporary Teams, as assignednnThe physical capabilities an associate must have to perform for this position are as follows:nnModerate degree of physical activity.nContinuous standing and frequent walking.nFrequent bending and reaching.nFrequent stair/ladder climbing.nMay handle potentially hazardous equipment or material.nWorks in a cool, wet environment.nAbility to lift up to 55 lbs.nnRich Products Corporation, its subsidiaries and affiliates (“Rich’s”), are committed to a policy of Equal Employment Opportunity and will not discriminate against an applicant or employee on the basis of race, color, religion, creed, national origin or ancestry, sex, age, physical or mental disability, veteran or military status, genetic information, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital status or any other legally recognized protected basis under federal, state, or local law.
