Job descriptionnnBoth full-time and part-time positions available!nnPosition Purpose:nnEnsures residents compliance with program during their scheduled shift and provides crisis intervention as necessary. Monitors the residents adherence to rules, policies and procedures, and/or concrete service plans, ensuring safety, cleanliness and order in the New Beginnings Community.nnEssential Duties and Responsibilities:nnProvides for the overall safety and care of residents through appropriate supervision of their activities.nnCompletes exit process with residents.nnProvides hands-on life skills training by assisting residents with daily living skills.nnWorks as part of the case management team to implement the case plan of each resident.nnProvides crisis intervention as required.nnMonitors progress of residents in daily living skills.nnSupervises residents adherence to rules and daily shelter routine.nnSupports, plans and supervises family recreational activities.nnDistributes medication as needed and monitors medication compliance (prescription medications only).nnCompletes appropriate documentation in the program log as well as weekly progress reports in a timely fashion, including client no-shows and other safety concerns.nnWrites work orders for needed repairs.nnConducts regular building inspections and apartment searches.nnConducts fire evacuation drills.nnRetrieves, distributes and forwards program and resident mail.nnMonitors internal and external facility appearance and readiness for new residents.nnNon-Essential Duties and Responsibilities:nnAdvocates for the needs of residents.nnOther duties as assigned.nnQualifications:nnHigh School DiplomannTwo years of relevant residential experience.nnA valid drivers license, auto insurance and a clean driving record.nnExceptional teamwork orientation with good written and oral communication skills.nnDemonstration of cross cultural competencies.nnMust possess an attitude compatible with the goals and purposes of NCCF.nnPhysical Demands/Work Environment:nnWhile performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers to handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Vision abilities required y this job require close vision working with a computer monitor. While performing the duties of this job, employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. While performing the responsibilities of the employees job, these work environment characteristics are representative of the environment the employee will encounter.
