Under the direction of the Residence Manager, this position assists with the case management, care and training to residents. DIRECT SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES:nnProvide teaching, supervision, and support to residents in areas of independent living.nnObserve, monitor, and document resident behaviors as well as their progress in accordance with agency standards.nnAssist in the preparation of nutritious meals, including food preparation when needed.nnAssist in the implementation and supervision of recreational activities.nnComplete household chores assigned by supervisor to maintain cleanliness and safety standards.nnSupervise and document resident medications in accordance with agency policies.nnPerform any other duties necessary for the effective and efficient operation of the community residence.nnB. ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:nnAttend staff meetings and trainings as required by supervisor and work as a member of the residential team for each resident. Give relevant input for treatment team meetings, staff meetings, utilization reviews, and any other meetings.nnObserve all safety rules and regulations for self and others.nnQualificationsnnEducation: High School DiplomannExperience: Human services experience preferrednnOther: Driving record that meets agency’s Clean Driving Record Policy.nnWork EnvironmentnnThe DePaul Batavia Apartment Treatment Program provides consumers with the highest level of independence in a program licensed by the New York State Office of Mental Health. The program is designed to be a preparatory step before the consumer begins to live independently within the community. An emphasis is placed on increasing personal initiative and self-reliance. Staff make routine visits and are available 24-hours a day in case of an emergency.nnThis part-time position is 24 hours/week with the following schedule:nnSaturday: 10:30pm-7:00amnnSunday: 10:30pm-7:00amnnWednesday: 7am-3:30pmnnBenefitsnnDePaul is an equal opportunity employer that values diversity.
