The duties of the Truck Driver as determined by SunEnergy1 standards are to include, but are not limited to:

· Responsible for transporting cargo from one place to another using tractor-trailer trucks or other company owned vehicles as needed
n
· Operate trucks with a capacity of at least 26,001 pounds gross vehicle weight
n
· Deliver cargo while operating a tractor-trailer truck, sometimes over intercity routes, intrastate
n
· Load and unload cargo
n
· Keep truck, and associated equipment, clean and in good working order
n
· Report serious mechanical problems to the appropriate personnel
n
· Report to a dispatcher any incidents encountered on the road
n
· Monitor road conditions and watch for traffic congestion
n
· Plan routes using maps or satellite tracking; get cargo to site on time, safely
n
· Follow accident procedures if an accident occurs
n
· Follow all applicable traffic laws
n
· Perform pre-trip inspections and record any defects found
n
· Keep a daily log of activities
n
· Record amount and type of cargo being delivered
n
· Transport hazardous materials
n
WORK REQUIREMENTS:
n
· Valid CDL Class-A license required
n
· Minimum of 3 years of experience driving a Commercial Motor Vehicle
n
· Hazmat and Tanker endorsements preferred
n
· Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and U.S. Department of Transportation's Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations
n
· Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations
n
· No recent moving or driving violations
n
· Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
n
· Ability to multi-task
n
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
n
· Must be able to relate to people
n
· Must have the ability to work individually or as a team
n
· Must be self-motivated
n
· Must be well organized and detail oriented
