Responsibilities
• Drive single vehicles with a gross vehicle weight (GVW) not exceeding 26,000 pounds in Richmond, VA, US
• Handle freight loading and unloading using appropriate equipment safely and efficiently
• Ensure that cargo is packed and arranged securely within the vehicle
• Keep accurate driving and delivery records up to date
• Conduct regular vehicle inspections and perform necessary maintenance tasks
• Adhere to DOT delivery schedules and rest requirements
• Maneuver and park large trucks and buses as needed in Richmond, VA, US
• Navigate routes using GPS or other routing systems effectively
• Practice and prioritize safe driving practices at all times
• Follow all driver and vehicle regulations outlined by DOT
• Utilize basic technology for communication and operational purposes
• Abide by the MG Moving Services Policies and Procedures for drivers in Richmond, VA, US
Qualifications
• Must have a valid driver's license that is current and in good standing
• Required to successfully pass background checks, drug screenings, and driving record verifications
• Expected to maintain a consistent and reliable attendance record
• Ability to work flexible hours, which may include weekends, holidays, and overtime shifts
• Capable of lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds
