Maintenance Technician - Winston-Salem ManufacturingnnGENERAL PURPOSE: Perform general mechanical maintenance of facility and equipment in a timely and courteous manner.nnESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:nnPerforms mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance of manufacturing equipment.nnRepairs and maintains facility systems (HVAC, plumbing, compressed air, and humidification).nnPaints and performs minor repairs of building interior and exterior including masonry, wallboard, ceiling tiles, woodwork, etc.nnUses rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments accurately.nnPerforms basic handiwork such as replacing light bulbs, ballasts, water and air filters, and plumbing fixtures, cleaning drains, hanging pictures and bulletin boards, and maintaining proper forklift batteries.nnPrepares and operates machine tools such as grinders, and drill presses to repair or fabricate machine parts and/or fixtures.nnPerforms inspections of and tests fire alarms and pumps.nnPerforms preventative maintenance.nnWorks on call as required.nnMaintains accurate maintenance records.nnOperates scissors and forklifts.nnPerforms other job duties as assigned.nnQUALIFICATIONS:nnMust have high school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D).nnMust be able to properly use rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.nnMust be HVAC trained or licensednnMust have a working knowledge of A/C units, cooling towers and small heat pumps.nnMust be trained in basic electric and mechanical safety.nnMust have some basic computer experience.nnMust be knowledgeable in the safe use of hand and small power tools.nnWestRock is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
