We are looking for a Class A CDL Driver experienced to join our team at Metro Park Warehouses. We are seeking a Class A truck driver who has physical and mental stamina who thrives working up to 12 hours locally and can consistently ensure safe and accurate deliveries. The driver must be detail-oriented, efficient, and have a clean driving record.

Pay: $26.25 per hour

Duties and Responsibilities
n
n- Drive trucks with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) over 26,000 lbs.
n- Pull a towed vehicle weight exceeding 10,000 lbs.
n- Ensure trailer kingpin is properly and securely attached to the tractor unit
n- Transport goods from the place of origin to assigned destination
n- Ensure contents are properly secured inside of the truck to prevent breakage or damage
n- Obtain signatures or warehouse BOL to confirm and complete deliveries with customers
n- Stay on a predetermined route and ensure timely deliveries
n- Communicate with dispatch as needed
n- Perform pre trip and post trip inspections of your vehicle
n- Always ensure your vehicle is kept clean
n- Maintain and service vehicle as needed (refuel, check oil, tire pressure, etc.)
n- Notify managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered
n- Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs
n- Track and report working hours
n- Adhere to company rules and regulations
n- Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive according to the weather/road conditions
n- Comply with DOT regulation

Skills and Qualifications
n
n- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
n- Operate Manual Transmission
n- Valid Class A driver's license required
n- 2+ years proven experience with tractor-trailer driving preferred
n- Clean driving record with no moving violations
n- Must pass a background check and drug screen
n- Skilled at driving large vehicles
n- Comfortable maneuvering and parking a tractor-trailer
n- Alert, focused, and detail-oriented
n- Physically and mentally fit
n- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time
n- Proficient using GPS and other routing systems
n- An innate sense of direction
n- Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful
n- High level of composure and good stress management
