Job Description

Kawasaki Motors Manufacturing Corp., U.S.A seeks full-time Production Planning Specialist at our Consumer Products manufacturing facility in Lincoln, NE.
Responsibilities of Production Planning Specialist:

  • Review daily production schedule to ensure that productions deadlines are met.
  • Work closely and communicate regularly with all areas regarding engineering changes and part shortages.
  • Process and understand daily inventory adjustments; cycle counts, scrap transaction, etc..
  • Track incoming air freight and oceans containers.
  • Work closely with other team members regarding new model builds, incoming and outgoing shipments, inventory cleanup after projects are complete.
  • Problem solving, finding the root cause of issues and actions to make improvements.
  • Creating and maintain spreadsheets.
Required Qualifications for Production Planning Specialist:
  • High School degree or GED required
  • At least 2 years of experience in scheduling and/or planning as well as experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Must be proficient with computers, including Excel and Access Database
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions and solve problems immediately
  • Must be comfortable with handling and confirming inventory deliveries and shipments as well as tracking them when late
  • Capability to work well with others, communicate effectively (both written and verbal), and maintain organization between cross-related departments
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and competing demands, sets priorities, and ensure all issues are addressed while being sensitive to time constraints and resource availability
