Join us and be part of an ambitious team determined to achieve excellence.nnA day in the Life:nnPerform preventive maintenance (PMs) and repairs on compressors, condensers, evaporators, pumps, vessels, valves, and other refrigeration equipment.nnReplace defective mechanical and manual valves, fan motors, and perform motor alignments.nnDiagnose and address electrical problems, ensuring systems operate technically according to specifications.nnLayout, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.nnRoutinely inspect facilities to detect malfunctions and ensure safe and effective operation.nnCollaborate with outside contractors to ensure compliance with safety policies and work standards.nnParticipate in and complete required training sessions for facilities operations and safety.nnUse the Computerized Maintenance Management System to manage work requests and the Building Automation System to monitor equipment and processes.nnKeys to Success:nnEducationnnHigh school diploma or equivalent required.nnType II or EPA Universal Certification requirednnPreferred: Associate degree or technical training program plus 5+ years of experience.nnExperiencenn3+ years of experience in a mechanical/refrigeration/utilities field.nnStrong knowledge in refrigeration, HVAC, and mechanical systems.nnProficiency in reading and interpreting P&ID drawings/schematics.nnExperience with Microsoft Office applications.nnValid driver's license required for travel between sites.nnPhysical RequirementsnnClimbing ladders and working at heights up to 40 feet.nnAbility to stand continuously and frequently walk, bend, and lift up to 70 pounds.nnMust be able to work in both heat and cold environments.nnPersonal Protective Equipment Certification (PPE) is required.nnThermo Fisher Scientific is an EEO/Affirmative Action Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, disability or any other legally protected status.
